Sola Kosoko is a popular Nigerian Actress, Movie Producer, Director and also a Script writer. She is the daughter of the Veteran actor, Prince Jide Kosoko. She is regarded as one of the most sought after and famous Yoruba female actress in the Nollywood industry whose role in her movies made her unique and exceptionally great.
Early Life and Personality
Sola Kosoko was born on 7th of January, 1976 in Lagos state. She attended Methodist Primary school at Yaba, Lagos State and also had her Secondary school education at Yaba, Lagos State. She went on to further her education by obtaining her bachelor degree in Sociology at Olabisi Onabanjo University . Her father, Prince Jide Kosoko influentially helped her to develop and grow in the movie industry most especially Yoruba Movies industry.
She however, got married to her heartthrob, Mr. Abiodun Abina after her National youth service corps (NYSC). She has been able to maintain a balance between her marital life and her work which she explained in an interview that she was able to do so because she got married to a very understanding and loving husband.
Sola Kosoko’s Marriage
The talented actress got married to Mr. Abiodun Abina on 7th January 2012 which happens to be her birthday. It was a glorious day for her as many notable celebrities came to rejoice and celebrate with her. The wedding ceremony took place in a private ceremony at Solitude Hotel, Jibowu, Lagos state.
After two years of Marriage she gave birth to a baby girl in the United States of America in the month of July, 2014. Her daughter was christened in America and recorded the presence of Nollywood celebrities and other eminent Nigerians such as Yinka Quadri, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st and among many others.
The marriage tends to wax stronger every day as the actress disclose that her husband is her first baby and her number one priority as she will always there for him and he also stand by her all every day with words of encouragement and advice . She also discloses that she has learn to respect and humble her husband and his family which has kept her marriage waxing stronger everyday.
She advised the young women to stay humble and respect their husband and his family as she said ” Humility is the key to successful marriage”. Humility takes you very far in your marriage and in your career in life . She stated further that her marriage has been a source of happiness to her as she is able to maintain a balance with both here family and her career as it is not affecting each other.
She disclosed that her husband is her unofficial manager as they are both involved in the checks and balances of her career and marriage.

Sola kosoko gave birth to a baby girl after two years of marriage in the month of July, 2014 in United states of America and her child was christened there also. She was named Oluwasindara Abina.

The talented actress has a lot of family members in the movie industry. However we can say she has an endowed talent of acting in her while growing up because she came from a theatre family as her father(Prince Jide Kosoko) is one of the most notable veteran actors in Yoruba movies industry in Nigeria.
Her step mother, Henrietta Kosoko was also an actress and was once the president of Assiociation of Theatre Arts. She has a younger sister, Bidemi Kosoko who is also an actress. She also has a brother, Tunji Kosoko.
Both Sola and Bidemi Kosoko were born of same mother who gave up the ghost in 1993. Although we have no much information about their mother but will surely updated once we have any details about their mother.
The talented actress started her acting career in 1999 when she acts in a movie titled “Ola Abata”. She acted the role of Alhaja wosila which actually convinced her father that she should take acting seriously. Her father scripted a movie in the year 2000 for her to act as the main character which she obliged reluctantly. She wanted to go to school after her secondary school education.
She watched the movie but was not happy and satisfied with the movie because she looks immature, not beautiful enough because she is still young and small. She later quit acting to face her studies squarely.She however, said her choice of career was influenced by her father because she wanted to be a Lawyer or broadcaster from her childhood days.
In the year 2001, she was opportuned to act as a main character in a movie which she also obliged reluctantly but when she watched the movie she was happy because she has grown to be more matured and beautiful. That was how she came into limelight and had several invitation from producers to act in their movies.
She is currently one of the famous and sought after females in the Nollywood industry most especially Yoruba movies industry.
